Habits help us but they can also haunt us. Some habits even become obsessive compulsive, such as nail biting, hair pulling & skin picking. Others such as smoking & drinking can alter our lives & even threaten them. Human beings often find it difficult to deal effectively with problems. They are already too emotionally involved in their problem and have often become used to it - It becomes an accepted habit. The good news about human beings is that they are very good at achieving goals, the more specific the better.

It’s really important that you understand that the key element to success is YOU! I cannot make you do or believe anything unless YOU want to. No habit management system will ever work unless you are committed to it. You must be prepared to change your habits and life-style. Nail-biting is quite common, but for some it is more than simply a bad habit.. People who suffer from compulsive nail-biting can experience bleeding, infections, or even permanent damage to the fingers. Like almost all habits nail biting is often unconscious behaviour, and people may have difficulty stopping because they may be unaware they are even doing it.
