Blushing is an unconscious, physical reaction that our bodies have to certain situations. Social blushing, the kind that may happen in an embarrassing situation or when we meet a certain person, and makes us feel uncomfortable is triggered by something external and is no different from any other learned response. Sometimes blushing problems can be traced back to a particular incident, for example, you may have blushed when asked to stand up and speak to the class as a child.
